The Administrative Calendar page is the main entry point for adding, editing, rescheduling, and copying calendar entries. Open the page by clicking on [Calendar] on the Edit Contents page.
The Administrative Calendar page presents a page similar to the normal calendar page, but with additional controls added next to the scheduled time and with different behaviors for some of the hyperlinks. These controls are similar to the page editing commands that appear on the Edit Contents page. (If an event has no scheduled time, "---" appears instead of a time.)
- The [X] next to the scheduled time deletes the entry.
A red [L] next to the scheduled time indicates that a file is locked for edit, just as on the Edit Contents page. Click on the [L] to open a page that displays who is editing the locked file and when it was opened for edit.
The date is a hyperlink that opens the Add Calendar Entry page, which contains a form for setting the time of the entry on the date selected. Select the "---" entries from the pull-downs on the form if the event has no scheduled time. Multiple events can be scheduled for the same time. Events scheduled for the same time appear separately on the calendar in the order entered.
When an entry is added to the calendar, the Page Editor opens on the new entry's page. The page opens with a default table for information about the event. The page is a normal page; enter whatever you want on it or delete the default table. The Short Title of the new page appears as the name of the entry on the calendar. When the page is viewed on the normal (non-administrative) calendar, the date and time automatically appear at the top of the page.
The time of the event (or "---" if the event has no scheduled time) is a hyperlink that opens the Reschedule/Copy page, which reschedules the event or makes a copy of it. The Reschedule button changes the date and/or time of the event. The Copy button makes a copy of the event at another date and time. (Multiple events can be scheduled for the same time. Events scheduled for the same time appear separately on the calendar in the order entered.)
The name of the event is a hyperlink that opens the Page Editor on the event. If the file is open for edit by another user (or by you in another editor window) you will be asked if you want to delete the edit lock. Delete locks only when a browser crash has left stale edit locks or another user has accidentally failed to close an editor. Deleting a lock automatically sends mail to the other user to report that the lock was removed.
Events can also be edited or deleted in the Calendar section of the Edit Contents page.
